Use the Video Content Type to play videos on your digital sign.
Video Content Type
Navigate to your folder in the Content Library and right click. Select Create Content in this Category '[folder name]' >> Video....
The Properties window will open. Give the video content a descriptive Name.
Determine a Recurrence, if desired.
Enter a Duration.
Video durations do not follow the normal duration rules; every video file has its own duration, the length of the video. To ensure the video plays in its entirety, uncheck the Duration box. Unlike other content items, when a Duration is assigned to a Video content item, the video plays for the exact amount of time specified in the Duration field, potentially cutting off the video. To set a video to repeat, uncheck Duration and check Loop Content.
Click the Ellipsis button to add the location of the video file. Some guidelines for a video are as follows:
- Format mp4, h.264
- Frame rate 30 frames/second
- Refresh rate of TV 60 Hz
Ensure that the Deployment Behavior is correct.
To loop the video, check the box for Loop content and select the frequency.
Under Video player to use, select the type of video player from the drop-down menu:
- Windows Media Player
- VLC Player
- FWi Media Player
When complete, click OK and save.
