How do we prepare for migration?
Complete the migration form.
This procedure cannot be performed until the migration form is submitted and you have been contacted by the digital signage admins. Due to the large volume of migrations, responses may be slower than usual.
Determine the locations (online, network drive or local machine) of all of your digital signage content assets and collect those files into one folder on your workstation. Later you will upload these assets to the cloud. Items to store in the cloud are typically images or videos, but many different file types are supported. Make sure to delete any unused content or templates prior to exporting.

With assistance from an IT Pro (or workstation support) install the most current version of the Content Player software on the computer(s) acting as your digital sign(s).
Note: Content Manager Desktop is being phased out. Content Management and deployments are handled through a web browser using the Content Manager Web application.
Step 1
Log into https://fwicloud.com/
After you log in, you should see the library link/button.
Once you are inside your library you can add assets using the (+) New button or simply drag the files from the folder on your computer onto the browser window. After all your assets are uploaded, we’ll move on to the next step.
Step 2
Open Content Manager Desktop application. Export all your assets from both content and templates.
You will only be able to choose the items you have permissions to. You may wish to start with a few items at first to test and then export the remaining ones later.
Please Note: Any content items which no longer exist in thier original locations will prevent a successful export. In these cases, you may need to delete the item first or deselect it in the export dialogue.
Tip! Take your time and test a few items with one template and one sign before moving on with the rest.
Step 3
Open Content Manager Web and import your content and templates to your new libraries.
Select the Content Library tab and then click on Import.
Step 4
After content is completed, select the Template Library and use import again.
Step 5
For each piece of content, revise the properties to point to the same items uploaded to FWI Cloud. Right-click each item and choose properties. Click on the Location/URL icon and then click on Cloud library and choose the items that match.
Repeat these steps for each piece of imported content.
Step 6
Drag the template you wish to use over the top of your sign in the network tree. Then drag each piece of content from your content repositories onto each appropriate region of the template. Then you can Save and deploy by right-clicking your player.
